FromtheFestivaltoHaBaWaBaEgypt:WhataGiftfor6Teams!
Mindset (WPD partner) will offer participation in the Somabay event to Rapallo, Pacer & Quinto in the U9 category, Buducnost, Primorac & Posillipo in U11
The closing ceremony of the U9 and U11 tournaments at the HaBaWaBa International Festival held a massive surprise for 6 of the participating teams: the top 3 non-Egyptian teams from each tournament have been automatically registered for the 2nd edition of HaBaWaBa Egypt.
This incredible gift comes courtesy of Mindset for Sport Development, partner of Waterpolo Development and the organizing company of the event, which is scheduled to take place from December 27 to 29, 2026, in the stunning Somabay, on the Red Sea. For each category, two teams will receive free flights to Egypt and accommodation at the Somabay Sports Arena, while the third team will receive accommodation only.
This is not actually a first-time initiative: Mindset launched the exact same promotion last year to boost the newly created HaBaWaBa Egypt, which turned out to be a massive success. For 2026, expectations for the Somabay event are running even higher.
The prize recipients were divided as follows across the categories:
U9 Category - Rapallo (3rd in the Gold Tournament), Pacer Academy, and Quinto Genovesi (3rd and 4th in the Silver Tournament).
U11 Category: Buducnost and Primorac from Montenegro, alongside the Coccodrilli of Posillipo, which were the 3 teams that swept the podium of the Gold Tournament (click here for the recap of all the winners).
From Italy to Egypt, the HaBaWaBa community truly proves it has no borders, thanks in no small part to the enthusiasm of a partner like Mindset, which has chosen to strongly back Waterpolo Development's project.
A huge thank you goes out to the organizers of HaBaWaBa Egypt, and a safe trip to the young athletes who will be flying to Somabay: HaBaWaBa never ends!
