The first edition of HaBaWaBa Plus U13 will start in Villaggio Ge.Tur on saturday January 2nd. Sixteen teams coming from 7 different countries will arrive to Lignano Sabbiadoro to join the tournament, organised by Waterpolo Development and dedicated to Under 13 players. We interviewed with coaches and managers who are going to be at HaBaWaBa Plus U13 to know what they expect.
We started with Mirko Vicevic, gold medalist in Seoul ’88 and currently coach and manager of montenegrinian Akademija Cattaro.
Mr. Vicevic, why will your team join HaBaWaBa Plus U13?
Because we were present in all editions from start of this world famous project called HaBaWaBa and we won’t miss the new tournament.
Your team already joined HaBaWaBa International Festival. What do you expect from HaBaWaBa Plus U13?
This age is very interesting for our club, because we were champions of Montenegro a few years ago.
Teams from 7 countries (Spain, France, Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary and Italy) will join HaBaWaBa Plus U13. Did you know about another tournament as big as that?
We are surprised about the number of quality team involved in this tournament. We hope to show that we can says something between them.
Are your young players happy to come to HaBaWaBa Plus U13?
They are very happy, specially because is our first tournament in winter period.
Waterpolo Development is trying to spread waterpolo and to develop love for waterpolo by that kind of events. Do you think that is a good way to promote our sport?
