HaBaWaBa North America is an event which was born out of the collaboration between Waterpolo Development and DJ Global Wave Inc, owned by former Serb international and former coach of Canada Dragan Jovanovic. HaBaWaBa North America is held in Montreal, Canada, at Parc Jean Drapeau swimming pool, where FINA World Championships 2005 took place: it was attended by 29 teams, 19 squads for Under 13 tournament, 10 for Under 11.
One of the big news of the HaBaWaBa North America was the presence of 7 Canadian Olympians that werw at the pool every day and interact with the kids, show them their sports and take photos. Waterpolo was represented by Usa International Tony Azevedo, Canada former coach Dragan Jovanovic, Canada former International Simon Dechamps and Canada female team Sandra Lize. But HaBaWaBa North America hosted synchronettes Elise Marcotte and Dominika Kopcik and penthatlete Joshua Riker-Fox too.
Another news is HaBaWaBa North America partnership with the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Jouez Gagnant, the Institut National du Sport du Quebec’s program to promote sports for kids and adolescents.
