On Sunday June 19th, HaBaWaBa International Festival 2016 will begin: it’s the most important sports event of the world dedicated to kids from 6 to 11. Villaggio Ge.Tur in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) is ready to host 123 teams that will join the two tournaments (U11 and U9) of the event. The 9th edition of the HaBaWaBa International Festival will be attended by overall 1.400 young waterpolo players coming from 12 different countries and more than 3.000 people will get involved into it, counting coaches, kids’ parents and supporters.
It will be a worldwide event, as confirmed by Sandro Campagna, coach of Italian famous “Settebello”. Even if he is preparing Italian team to World League Super Final in Huizhou (China), he wanted to wish the little players of HaBaWaBa good luck.
“HaBaWaBa is an unique event, a famous festival in all the world – said Campagna, who won the Olympics as player at Barcelona 1992 -. It’s an international tournament and a great show thanks to the participation of more than a thousand kids. It’s really good to see how it’s constantly improving its quality and how the attendees are increasing. I wish the organizers and above all the players good luck: I hope they will enjoy theirselves and that their love for waterpolo will increase. There is nothing better than playing with a ball in the water!”.
