From July 6th to 9th the olympic swimming pool of Municipality of Alimos, South Athens, will host the 2nd edition of HaBaWaBa Greece. The event is part of HaBaWaBa International Circuit and it is organized by Delta I.S.O. Sports Events Service in cooperation with Waterpolo Development.
The pool of Alimos, a facility with all the modern infrastructure, lies less than 8 km from the historical center of Athens, in the beach zone. It will host the two tournaments of HaBaWaBa Greece, 9U and 11U, and more than 30 teams will spent there 4 magnificent days, enjoying a unique experience in their favourite sport.
Parents will have the opportunity to visit the landmarks of Athens. Historical monuments such as the Panathenaic Stadium, the place where the First Olympic Games of the Modern Era took place. Inside the facilities of the swimming pool, parents can enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and refreshments overlooking the magnificent view of Alimos Marina, in the Cafe Restaurant Dia Noce.
All the educational and recreational workshops of HaBaWaBa Greece (LEGO Serious Play, nutrition seminars and painting contest ) will take place in a dedicated part of Dia Noce.
HaBaWaBa is organized under the auspices of the Municipality of Alimos, with the Mayor Mr. Andreas Kondilis to have shown his active support to the youth and sports. The Hellenic Olympic Committee, the Hellenic Swimming Federation, the Association of Greek Water Polo Referees as well as the World Water Polo Referees Association are supporting HaBaWaBa Greece that has become the most important event in the Mediterranean area.
The 1st edition of HaBaWaBa Greece was held in 2016, from July 20th to 23rd, in Glyfada Nautical Sports Club, in Athens, and it was attended by 24 teams coming from Greece and Egypt.
For 2018, HaBaWaBa Greece will host even more teams from Greece and abroad, with many teams from the Balkan and Mediterranean countries having shown interest to participate.
