HaBaWaBa International Circuit
In order to spread sports values and love for waterpolo, Waterpolo Development cooperates with several associations and national federations worldwide, creating local HaBaWaBa events in such as 4 continents: the whole set of those happenings composes the HaBaWaBa International Circuit.
HaBaWaBa Montreal
It was the first HaBaWaBa event outside Europe: it was born in 2015 with the name of HaBaWaBa North America thanks to the collaboration of DJ Global Wave. During the years, HaBaWaBa Montreal has gathered teams from the whole American continents and has been participated also by European teams. It takes place during the summer at the Parc Jean Drapeau pool, in Montreal, a special venue that hosted the Swimming World Championships in 2005. It’s reserved to U11 and U12 teams.

It’s organized by Delta I.S.O. and patronized by the Greek Olympic Committee (H.O.C.), the Greek Swimming Federation (H.S.F.) and the Greek Waterpolo Referees Association (SEDY). It was born in 2016 and it’s now the more important kids waterpolo event in the Mediterranean area, hosting HaBaWaBa teams coming from Europe and Africa. It’s reserved to U9 and U11 teams and it takes place in splendid Athletic & Nautical Club of Glyfada, close to Athens.

In 2018 the HaBaWaBa International Circuit landed in Spain. Waterpolo Development sealed a deal with the Barcelona International Water Polo Academy (BIWPA) to organize waterpolo events dedicated to U10 and U12 age groups in Spain. Back in the 2018 summer, the first edition of HaBaWaBa Spain took place in Barcelona, during the European Water Polo Championships, and in 2019 the event moved to the town of Reus. After a pause in 2020, HaBaWaBa Spain returned in 2021 with a new venue: Tarragona and PortAventura World. The event is now consolidated in Tarragona, where the 4th edition has took place during the Easter holiday, from April 9 to 12, 2022: 35 teams participated.

Starting from 2019, also East Europe has its own HaBaWaBa event: HaBaWaBa Belarus is held in the city of Brest and it’s wonderfully organized by the Regional Olympic Reserve Center for Water Sports. It is dedicated to U11 and U13 players.

The OCBC Aquatic Center in Singapore, one of the finest and more advanced facilities of the whole Asiatic continent, held on December 2018 the one and only (so far) edition of HaBaWaBa Asia, organized by HaBaWaBa Asia Pte Ltd. The event enjoyed success, being participated by U11 and U13 teams coming from China, Indonesia, Thailandia, Malesia and Singapore.

The cooperation between the Egyptian Swimming Federation (ESF) and Waterpolo Development led to the birth of the HaBaWaBa Egypt project, which first edition is scheduled in 2021 of. The venue will be the amazing Senzo Sporting Club in Hurghada. HaBaWaBa Egypt aims to involve teams coming not only from North Africa, but also from Middle East, Arab countries and Europe. It will have tournaments for U9, U11 and U13 players.
HaBaWaBa Brasil
In December 2021, the city of Bauru, in the State of São Paulo, hosted the 2nd edition of HaBaWaBa Brasil. The event was organized by ABDA, an association that has been using waterpolo and sports for years to improve the lives of needy children. Participation in HaBaWaBa Brazil is open to mixed U13 teams: 25 teams belonging to 11 different Brazilian clubs joined the competition. The event has took place at the Arena ABDA, which has two 50-meter Olympic swimming pools equipped with bleachers and a big screen. The teams stayed at the Emburi Hotel, in Piratininga, neighboring Bauru, and spent their free time at Novo Thermas, a water park with 13 pools, soccer field, lake and snack bars. On December 2022, from 7th to 11th, the 3rd edition of HaBaWaBa Brasil will take place: registration is already open on the official website of the event.
