L’Haba Waba International Festival avrà luogo ancora una volta, e dunque per il settimo anno consecutivo, nel Villaggio Ge.Tur di Lignano Sabbiadoro. E’ già ufficiale anche la data: l’ottava edizione del Festival si svolgerà dal 21 al 28 giugno 2015. Ecco una breve intervista con il presidente dell’Associazione Waterpolo Development Lucio Pisani per chiarire alcuni aspetti della prossima edizione.
Si era ventilata l’ipotesi di allargare ulteriormente il numero delle squadre sfruttando la possibilità di disputare alcuni incontri anche nel camping adiacente il Villaggio Ge.Tur…
Questo aumento non ci sarà, le squadre partecipanti rimarranno 120. E non per questioni di carattere logistico, ma per motivi legati strettamente allo sviluppo del torneo. Ottimizzeremo, invece, accogliendo le richieste espresse dalle società, la formula della manifestazione per far sì che tutte le squadre giochino un numero congruo di partite.
Altre novità previste?
Quelle principali riguardano i tradizionali workshop. E’ nostra intenzione, per la prossima edizione, dedicarli anche ai tecnici e alle famiglie presenti, e non soltanto ai bambini iscritti alla manifestazione.

Haba Waba International Festival will take place also in 2015 and for the seventh consecutive year in the Ge.Tur Village of Lignano Sabbiadoro (Udine- Italy).
The eighth edition of the Festival will be in June from 21th to 28th.
Following a brief interview with the Waterpolo Development’s President, Eng. Lucio Pisani, to clarify some aspects of the next edition.
It was planned by WPD to increase the number of participating teams using also the swimming-pool of the neighbour camping…
There will be no increase, the teams remain 120, not for logistical but for reasons linked to the development of the tournament but following the requests of the Clubs, it will be optimized the tournament’s formula to ensure to all teams to play more matches.
Other news?
The main news concern the Workshop. Our intention is to involve also coaches and families and not only the athletes.
